Reno

Reno and it's neighbour Sparks are the last major stopping off points on the road from SanFrancisco to BlackRockCity. It is also home to RenoSparksAirport, which is the closest you can fly to BurningMan, without your own plane.

Suppliers
Albertsons is a popular (big) supermarket in Sparks its also a good place to find a lift. In the same shopping centre there is a good camping shop, dollar shop (very good), Radio Shack, Safeway etc. Across the road are a couple of charity shops. Sparks is also home to an army surplus shop.

Twin City Surplus∞ is a great place to pick up random shit that you need for the playa. If you suddenly remember you need a secondhand winch, some glowsticks and a fireproof suit, drop in here. Also stock chain, bolts, camping stuff, tarps, parachutes, sledgehammers, barrels etc. etc.

Where to stay
It should be possible to get a double room in Reno fro $30-40. Rates are often cheaper Sun - Thur.
The PepperMill casino perhaps... Phone for rates (rather than asking at the desk where they'll be higher).

Many casinos offer very cheap rates if you book in advance and are travelling through on a weekday. Circus Circus∞ is the only downtown casino which can take RVs or trucks in their parking lot.
