Jimi Hendrix once referred to headphones as "Ear Goggles"
Jamie says:
Yeah there was an old bootleg that had outtakes on it. Jimi was in the studio rehearsing and recording an album. At one point the band and Jimi were playing with Blue Suede Shoes.
Jimi blurts out, "Unh? What's that? Hee hee, ha!"
He continues as he plays a bit on his guitar,
"Gimme some of that grass ah! Gimme some of that....ha ha ha
What's that?
Ahhhh turn it up on the ear goggles.
Hee heee heee
I feel evil
If you want trouble,
You've come to the right place
Ok!
Same symbols and snares
Same symbols and snare..."
Then Mitch starts druming the beat to Blue Suede Shoes and Jimi starts playing the guitar and says,
"Ka cha ka koon
Ka cha ka koon
Ka cha ka koon
Ka cha ka koon
One for the money
Two for the show
Three to get ready
And go cat go
Now don't you
Step on my blue suede shoes
You can do anything
But don't step on my blue suede shoes......"
Unreal!
