In de Skies Costume Camp Day
Where? My House, New Cross Gate, South East London
A gathering of people for some fun planning and maybe even some creating. For those interested in the CostumeExchange Camp contact Michelle on . I am trying to arrange days here and there. One of the main problems that I have experieced from last year and decompression is a kind of only just in time management. This is where we all, or a core few, all run around like blue arse flies trying to get it all done in the last few weeks. To combat this I want people to take me up on my offer of hosting days this time round. I want this to be a sort of regular day in the run up to nowhere. it will be fun. Oh yes, and I could feed you a bit too.
Things to bring to the costume camp day:
any materials that you think may be good, not just material, plastic, rubber, bike inner tyres (I have a few for costume efforts)?
sparkly bits and pieces
creative juices
sewing machines if you have one and it is not too much of a hastle to bring it.
old clothes from wardrobe or charity shop to be altered / added to
hats / ties / accessories / anything.........
the idea is to get it all together and share ideas.
food and drink if you feel like it. i will do a bit of cooking though.
scissors / hot glue gun
does anyone have a spare clothes rail?
smiles and imagination, warped or otherwise!
Beyond Retro on Cheshire Street, just off Brick Lane, East London has a bargain bucket right in the back of the shop that we got all those fabulous dresses for the decompression from. Every month or so they clear out their dead stock for £1. Well worth a look.
